Mike also invites you to join us for Cabot Wealth Summit on August 14-16 in Salem. You can register today here.

Cabot Weekly Review, March 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the mixed market outlook — short-term, it remains a bit of a coin flip, so he’s taking things on a stock-by-stock basis, but longer-term, he remains very bullish as very little abnormal action has appeared. Besides highlighting some setups, Mike also hands out a bit of education surrounding handling a good winner and also how to view sharp shakeouts in some glamour names.

March 29, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, remains bullish on the bigger picture, but shorter-term he talks about a handful of yellow flags he’s seeing — no reason to panic, but a reminder to have stops in place, to take some partial profits on the way up and to follow your plan. The good news is that, should the market pull in from here, he’s seeing a bunch of potential buys on weakness, and he shares some of his favorite targets.

March 22, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the market’s excellent snap back from its two-week pullback, with the big-cap indexes and many leading stocks moving back to new highs. Besides going into the short- and intermediate market view, Mike spends some time talking about selling , on former high-fliers that are coming back to life and, on some solid setups.

March 15, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, dives into the long-awaited market pullback, which has dented the major indexes and most stocks and sectors. Even so, Mike’s sticking with a bullish posture, but sees some further tricky action in the near-term. Mike relays the keys he’s watching going forward and the simple pattern he’s using to uncover lower-risk entry points in leaders.

March 8, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader , talks about the very bullish intermediate- and longer-term outlooks for the market and leading stocks, but he also goes into some examples of short-term stalling he’s seeing, as some big investors appear to be taking profits after big moves. It’s totally normal at this point, and in fact, Mike goes over a handful of stocks that are buy candidates — some that are gapping out of bases, and others that could offer opportunities on pullbacks.

Cabot Weekly Review, February 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses a bit of rotation he’s seeing out there–over time, it’s a good thing, though near-term he’s starting to see some leaders (not all) take a rest. Still, the good news is that two more rare “blastoff” signals flashed this week, and there’s no shortage of good-looking stocks out there as the buyers remain active.

February 22, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the continuing market uptrend, though isn’t complacent when it comes to a couple of worries (some resistance, many stocks extended from good entry points, etc.). The key now is to focus on some real leaders either on fresh breakouts or on shakeouts going forward—Mike highlights a handful of these potential buys, including a few recent IPOs.

February 15, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the market’s recent pullback, which finally arrived after six weeks of strong action. Further dips are possible, but Mike sees lots of “normal” action to this point, and with the intermediate-term trend still solidly up, he’s thinking dips will provide solid entry points for a variety of leaders.

February 8, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses yet another week of positive market action, with the major indexes scoring new recovery highs, more leading stocks consolidating properly and/or breaking out and a general lack of selling pressure. There are a few reasons to think a rest period could come soon, but the overall evidence continues to improve, and Mike highlights a variety of names that are setting up nicely for higher prices.

Cabot Weekly Review, January 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the mounting bullish evidence—this week, his intermediate-term trend model turned positive, adding another arrow to the bulls’ quiver. Mike talks about some different possibilities in the short-term, but spends most of his time wading through the increasing number of setups among growth stocks as earnings season continues.

January 25, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the market’s continued good vibes—this was the fourth week in a row of constructive action, which Mike believes bodes well for the intermediate- to longer-term. That said, he’s still watching for the intermediate-term trend to turn up (could happen early next week) and thus is holding cash, but with the evidence turning positive, putting some money to work is advised.

January 18, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the market’s encouraging action since the low, from the persistent upmove in the major indexes to the powerful broad market, which bodes well down the road.

January 11, 2019

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, says not much has changed with the market from a trend perspective; he’s still defensive and holding plenty of cash, as he has since early October. That said, he’s encouraged by some of the historic oversold and sentiment readings seen at the Christmas low.

Cabot Weekly Review, December 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor, doesn’t really talk about the markets at all. Rather, as he has for the past ten years, he reviews the year in verse, putting the highlights and lowlights into perspective with a touch of humor. Happy Holidays!

December 21, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor, gives his thoughts on the market and looks at a few stocks that are performing better than the market. The trend is still down and cash is your best friend at the moment, however it’s good to be on the lookout for strong stocks once the market gets going.

December 14, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the market’s wild (and mostly negative) week—the nascent uptrend from last week has fallen by the wayside, and with the major trend still down, he’s sticking with a mostly defensive stance. That said, Mike is also seeing more and more stocks resist the decline; it’s possible the best stocks have already bottomed, though it’s best to wait for the market to actually get going before any major buying.

December 7, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, November 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, has some good news—his intermediate-term indicator has flashed a green light! That’s not a reason to go hog wild on the buy side, but Mike’s putting some money to work in potential leaders and will be watching the next few trading days carefully; the more stocks that can join the party, the greater the chance this rally will get legs.

November 30, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, talks about his continued defensive stance, but also details a couple of secondary indicators that are looking better, shares a couple of stocks that actually look ready to go (if the market turns around) and talks about one simple chart method you can use these days to see what growth stocks are showing resilience. Happy Thanksgiving!

November 21, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, advises keeping it simple—while there’s been a lot of movement during the past month, the trends remain down, so he remains in a defensive stance. That said, he’s keeping his eyes open as well, with a bunch more growth stocks showing resilience that he’s putting on his watch list.

November 16, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor, talks about the November bounce that has followed the October flop of the markets. While the rally is welcome, it’s still not enough to create a decisively positive condition in the markets. Cabot’s market timing indicators are still medium- and long-term negative, and will remain so until the major indexes can get decisively back atop their moving averages.

November 9, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader , talks about the market’s encouraging first steps this week—a short-term low may be in place, and he likes what he’s seeing from an increasing number of growth stocks. That said, the intermediate-term trend is still clearly down, so Mike is staying defensive and advises using the bounce to either let go of broken stocks you’re stuck with, and, more importantly, ID’ing stocks that are showing big signs of relative strength.

November 2, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, October 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, talks about the market’s encouraging first steps this week—a short-term low may be in place, and he likes what he’s seeing from an increasing number of growth stocks. That said, the intermediate-term trend is still clearly down, so Mike is staying defensive and advises using the bounce to either let go of broken stocks you’re stuck with, and, more importantly, ID’ing stocks that are showing big signs of relative strength.

October 26, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, talks about the market’s modest bounce this week—a small positive, though with the intermediate-term trend of the major indexes and leading stocks still pointed south, he’s advising a mostly defensive stance and giving things time to build new launching pads. He is beginning to see the wheat separate from the chaff, and highlights some stocks to keep an eye on as earnings season revs up.

October 19, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses the market’s recent carnage and what he’s thinking for the short-, intermediate- and longer-term–in short, Mike’s still bullish longer-term, but is very defensive here as the odds favor time being needed to repair the damage. He does share some stocks if you want to play short-term bounces, and, as always, highlights some names that are on his watch list due to great resilience of late.

October 12, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor, talks about the Thursday Massacre that hit the market this week. He also points out that the intermediate term trend of the market has turned down. Emerging market stocks are also a good way along a significant correction. So it’s time to back off on buying and keep your current holdings on a short leash. But the most important thing Paul says is that it’s essential to look at the charts of your stocks and pay attention to what the chart is saying.

October 5, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, September 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader
, talks about the market’s continued sloppiness, with the intermediate-term trend mostly neutral at this point and many stocks showing some yellow flags. That said, he’s still yet to see many breakdowns among leading stocks, so he’s sticking to a bullish stance but is also remaining flexible, having some stops in place but also going through a bunch of good-looking setups should the uptrend resume.

September 28, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader
, discusses the tedious, tricky environment for growth stocks that’s been in place all of September—to this point, most of the evidence is still bullish, but there’s enough iffy action to have your antennae up and to tighten a couple of stops. Still, many stocks still look fine, and Mike goes through both cyclical names (that are benefitting from the recent rotation out of growth) and many growth stocks that are handling themselves very well.

September 21, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor, talks about the generally positive market—while we’ve seen some hesitation this month (and could see more going forward), there remain relatively few signs of abnormal action and plenty of strong growth stocks. Paul shares a few of his top setups today.

September 14, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, talks about what was an interesting week, with some sharp selling in leading stocks for part of it before a nice rally on Friday. Overall, this pullback and consolidation could go on for a bit, but the majority of evidence is bullish and most leading stocks are simply pulling back after big runs.

September 7, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, August 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor
, looks at the market and sees the major U.S. indexes in positive territory, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq at new all-time highs. It’s a good situation, but not ideal … kind of a “yes, but” market. It’s good to be moving toward heavier investment, but not going all-in. The situation with emerging market stocks in general, and Chinese stocks in particular, is more worrisome.

August 31, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s stock market video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader discusses the market’s improving evidence during the past two weeks, with the major indexes poking to new highs and, more important, the encouraging action among many leading stocks. It’s not a wild bull market, and Mike is still OK holding some cash, but he lays out his reasons for optimism and a bunch of stocks that have just gotten going after rest.

August 24, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s stock market video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader
and Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor
report from the 6th annual Cabot Wealth Summit. Mike tells us his observations on the market and names two fast-growing stocks he’s watching closely right now, one of which is the most recent IPO in a new industry. Paul mentions how emerging markets did this week and adds two of the emerging markets stocks he’s watching right now.

August 17, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader
discusses his encouragement with the market’s action during the past two weeks—the major indexes have held support and bounced, some new leadership has emerged on earnings and there are many solid bases forming. That said, the uptrend, while positive, isn’t powerful, so Mike is still big on picking your spots and being selective until we see the buying pressures intensify—and if they do, he goes over many candidates that have a great chance to lead the next sustained upturn.

August 10, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, July 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor
and Cabot Top Ten Trader discusses the still-positive trends in the major indexes and most leading stocks, but he does have his eye on a couple of yellow flags, including some stalling out among growth stocks while money flows into beaten-down areas. It’s something to watch, but Mike’s just going with the evidence (which remains mostly positive) and highlights a handful of current and potential leaders to watch as earnings season progresses.

July 27, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor looks at the market and sees a technically positive market that may not be quite as healthy as it looks. The major indexes are holding above their 25- and 50-day moving averages, but there’s not a lot of enthusiasm heading into the heart of earnings season. Paul looks at a couple of energy stocks that are forming nice charts, a couple of retail charts that are showing strength and one unexpected tech stock, plus a (possibly) overcooked health-care stock.

July 20, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader
discusses the market’s improved action during the past two weeks—while the picture isn’t perfect, his indicators are bullish and he’s seeing a lot of strong stock action, so he’s mostly bullish. As always, he reviews some solid setups in a few categories (brief setups, long bases, tennis balls, etc.) and will be watching the market’s (and leading stocks’) action during earnings season for clues.

July 13, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor takes a look at both U.S. and emerging markets and sees a “yes, but” situation. Yes, some of the major indexes are above their 25- and 50-day moving averages, but most of them have been range-bound for months, and there’s not really a clear direction to work with. Paul concludes with a look at how much information a weekly (as opposed to a daily) chart can give you about a stock’s main direction, using the FANG stocks, the BAT stocks and a few favorites.

July 6, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, June 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader talks about the overall evidence of the market and leading stocks (still mostly bullish), but recognizes that the recent selloff did show some abnormal action in many areas. Overall, Mike is leaning bullish, but is mostly watching and waiting for the market to show its hand. That said, he’s still seeing plenty of resilient growth stocks, and he runs through a bunch of them that should do well once the buyers step up.

June 29, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader says that the market’s primary evidence (trend of the indexes and leading stocks) is still positive, but because some hot stocks have begun to come back down to earth, it’s a good time to keep your feet on the ground, have a plan and honor your stops. With that said, Mike is still mostly bullish, and he sees many leaders pulling back normally (and others setting up well) that should offer some solid entry points.

June 22, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor says that there’s no doubt that the developed markets are in an intermediate-term uptrend. Emerging markets aren’t quite so healthy, but Chinese stocks are powering ahead strongly. It’s a little concerning that the VIX is so low, indicating that investors aren’t very fearful at all, but Paul still trusts the main timing signal from the market.

June 15, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor looks at the major indexes and sees that the intermediate-term trend of the market is up. It’s not a screaming bull market, but it’s positive enough that it’s okay to do a little buying. Emerging markets as a whole aren’t especially strong, but the Chinese portion of the EM universe is actually doing quite well. Paul gives some examples of stocks with strong charts, including a few whose stories give them special appeal.

June 8, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader , talks about the market’s encouraging first steps this week—a short-term low may be in place, and he likes what he’s seeing from an increasing number of growth stocks. That said, the intermediate-term trend is still clearly down, so Mike is staying defensive and advises using the bounce to either let go of broken stocks you’re stuck with, and, more importantly, ID’ing stocks that are showing big signs of relative strength.

June 1, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, May 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor looks at the market and sees a “yes, but …” market. Yes, the intermediate-term trend is up, but in the longer term the market is still wedging down from its January high and February low. Paul shows a few examples of old friends, the stocks that have shown very long-term appreciation, and a few new friends, stocks that are showing exceptional strength right now and have sound businesses.

May 25, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor looks at the state of the market, which is positive, but not enthusiastically so. The S&P, the Dow and the Nasdaq are all above their 25- and 50-day moving averages, but they are still in their recent trading ranges and not moving much. The situation in the emerging markets is similar, although China is a little stronger. Paul gives a few stocks that are his favorites in this kind of tepid market, which is stocks that are hitting new highs.

May 18, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader delivers some good news: He’s gotten a buy signal! Mike’s intermediate-term indicator has flashed a green light, basically saying that the market’s primary evidence (action of the major indexes and leading stocks) is kicking into gear. This isn’t a sign to go nuts on the buy side, but to start wading into a couple of top performers and then, if you develop profits, do some more buying in the days ahead. To get you started, Mike relays a ton of recent breakouts and setups to chew on.

May 11, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader says that not much has changed with the overall market’s stance during the past couple of weeks — with the trend down, he continues to advise a cautious stance. However, he also believes the market is in an interesting spot, as it’s holding above its correction lows despite a bunch of bad news. A couple of good up days could actually turn the trend up! No predictions, but Mike relays a bunch of stocks in pole position to lead the market’s next uptrend, whenever it begins.

May 4, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, April 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor looks at the sideways, tightening charts of the major indexes and concludes that it’s still time to keep new buying at a minimum and keep your stocks on short leashes. It’s not really a dire situation, but it’s not the kind of market that will give a broad boost to all stocks. Paul looks at a few IT stocks that are doing very well as well as some stocks from the oil patch that are showing real strength. He also gives a plug to a stock from his home town.

April 27, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader talks about the general improvement in the market’s evidence, with the major indexes building on their gains, some stocks poking into new high ground and many setting up. It’s encouraging, but to this point, the market still has yet to confirm a new intermediate-term uptrend and few stocks are racing away on the upside. Thus, Mike thinks it’s best to stay relatively cautious, but smaller positions still makes sense.

April 20, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor looks at stock markets that don’t really have a definite direction. The major indexes have made up about half of their losses, but haven’t stormed back above their 25- and 50-day moving averages to give us a new buy signal. Fears of a trade war seems to be the biggest worry for investors and the upcoming earnings season is probably the brightest hope. Paul gives some stocks that are either breaking out or building attractive bases.

April 13, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader still sees an overall intermediate-term downtrend in the market, but he’s beginning to spot the first signs of a thaw—the broad market is showing some resilience, the major indexes are finding support and decent amount of new leadership is popping up. It’s still too early to begin buying—Mike’s in a cautious stance with nearly half his portfolio in cash—but it’s time to sit up and pay attention should the bulls retake control.

April 6, 2018

Cabot Weekly Review, March 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor looks at the wretched state of the market as the major indexes look to be retesting February lows with the S&P perilously close to its 200-day moving average and only a one-day rally to sustain us through the long weekend. The important thing, Paul says, is to honor the signal of the market and cut way back on new buying while keeping losses small. If you’re determined to buy, look for stocks that are outperforming the market. But cash is king right now.

March 30, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader says that the market had a rough week and he has pared back to respect the selling pressure, building up some more cash and cutting back on new buying. That said, he’s keeping an open mind. Mike also discusses a couple of scenarios for the market, but emphasizes the rash of resilient growth stocks that continue to hold up well even as the major indexes get hit. They make for a great watch list as we wait for the market to shape up.

March 23, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor talks about the general good health of the market, but especially about how the Nasdaq Index is outperforming the S&P 500 and both are stronger than the Dow. This means that growth stocks, especially tech stock, are more in favor than the broad run of stocks, and that’s a good thing for growth investors. Paul looks at information technology, the strongest sector over the past year and, gives a few words about a couple of favorite Chinese stocks.

March 16, 2018

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader discusses the unusual market activity, with the major indexes mostly neutral (though more good action next week could produce an all-clear signal), but a ton of growth-oriented stocks showing powerful, persistent and big-volume upmoves. It’s best not to get too aggressive until the market confirms a new uptrend and we see some halfway decent entry points. But new leadership is already taking shape and Mike is optimistic.

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor surveys the damage caused by overly honest remarks from the new Fed chief and the rash remarks about tariffs from another relative Washington newcomer. The negative action over the past few days has pulled the markets back below their 25- and 50-day moving averages, erasing the medium-term green light that shone briefly. Still, many growth stocks are still doing well. Paul says that in this kind of market, it’s more important than ever to keep looking at the charts of the stocks you hold and are thinking about buying to be sure they are stronger than the market. He gives a few examples.

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, chief analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor talks about the market’s recent pullback, but puts it in perspective by pointing out the great year 2017 was and the great month January was. Earnings season is a more immediate concern, and Paul cautions you to keep a close eye on reactions to earnings. He also gives a few charts of stocks whose earnings-inspired pullback looks buyable and a few that are moving higher in good form.

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, starts off with a discussion on the market’s normal pullback during the past three weeks. With the trends still pointed up, he remains optimistic but would like to see the market (and many leading stocks) show signs of resuming their upmove before piling in.

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, Chief Analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor, takes a look back at year’s end, as he does every December in verse. Sometimes it’s a celebration of progress and prosperity, and sometimes the news is mixed. He wants to leave this year’s label up to you, but here’s how Paul describes the biggest stories of the year. How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, is sticking with his bullish point of view, thinking higher prices (maybe significantly higher) are likely in the weeks and months ahead. Short-term, he sees the possibility of some wobbles given the huge number of stocks hitting new highs last week; some of the leading metals stocks, in fact, have already begun to shake out some late buyers. But Mike believes these dips are generally buyable, and he’s spotting growth stocks shaping up, too.

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Paul Goodwin, Chief Analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor, looks at the continuing post-election rally that is lifting most indexes to new highs. And while traditional growth stocks and the Nasdaq aren’t joining in, there are plenty of “old world” stocks to choose from that are rallying strongly. The dynamic behind the market is that everyone wants to play. The Big Story is the incoming Trump administration and its program of infrastructure projects that are expected to be huge. Paul covers some commodity/materials stocks, a couple of metals, some construction stocks and a transportation stock.

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, dives into the newly divergent market—while most major indexes and recent leadership groups (financials, transports, materials) are in fine shape, just about any growth-oriented stocks have come under distribution. Now’s the time to keep it simple—hold onto stocks that are working, sell those that aren’t, and be selective when putting new money to work. The good news is that many stocks continue to act well, so there should be buying opportunities if the selling pressures don’t spread. Stocks discussed: SCHW, EXEL, PLAY, JACK and others.

How to Buy a call Option

In this week’s video, Mike Cintolo, chief analyst of Cabot Growth Investor and Cabot Top Ten Trader, discusses his newly-constructive market outlook, as both of his trend-following indicators are now positive, which has prompted him to put some cash to work. Mike still wants to see a couple of things from the market before getting heavily invested (including new highs from the S&P 500 and Nasdaq), but the power we’ve seen in the broad market is a good sign. Mike also dives into a variety of new leaders and set-ups among growth and “old world” industries. Stocks discussed: FB, Z, TWLO, BURL, SHOP, GIMO and others.

In this week’s stock market video, Paul Goodwin, Chief Analyst of Cabot Emerging Markets Investor looks at the dramatic moves the market has made since the election and why they haven’t produced changes in the long-term direction of the market. Paul points out some of the sector ETFs that are kiting higher and a couple that have either cooled off or corrected. Historically, it has taken up to five days for markets to stabilize after an election.
