Outlook Bright for “Green” Investments as Global Demand Soars for Energy and Earth-Friendly Products
Salem, MA—Rising energy demand, a worldwide consumer movement toward earth-friendly products and technological advances in clean energy are creating enormous opportunities for investors in Green companies. According to Cabot’s Chief Investment Strategist Timothy Lutts, early investors in the best of the Green companies are getting rich.
Lutts sees green industries attracting a flood of money and offering tremendous rewards to savvy investors. “We’re extremely optimistic about earth-friendly stocks. A decade ago, we saw a great bull market in Internet stocks as money flooded in. More recently, we’ve seen Chinese stocks go through the roof, as a lot of money chases a small number of stocks. And we think we will see exactly the same phenomenon in Green investments.”
Green investment opportunities are broad and include solar power, wind power, geothermal power, bio-fuel, energy conservation and efficiency, environmental design and preservation, fuel cells, green building, hydrogen technologies, pollution control, recycling, remediation, waste treatment and water purification.
To measure demand for stock in these industries, Cabot surveyed its investors and found that 85% are interested or very interested in Green investing. “We have a tremendous long-term relationship with our subscribers, many going back more than 30 years. They look to us for the next big investment opportunity, and we think Green investing is it,” said Lutts.
In response to the tremendous opportunity and strong demand, Cabot is launching Cabot Green Investor today. Cabot’s eighth investment advisory service, Cabot Green Investor will focus on investment opportunities in earth-friendly stocks in the U.S. and around the world. The new publication is edited by Brendan Coffey, a veteran financial journalist with more than a decade of experience writing about investing for publications including Barron’s, Forbes and The Wall Street Journal. Coffey will apply the same stock selection and market timing tools that Cabot developed and refined for over 37 years.
Cabot Green Investor is the newest investment advisory published by Cabot Heritage Corporation. Founded in 1970, Cabot today is an independent publisher of eight investment advisories serving more than 90,000 individual and professional investors worldwide.
