MarketWatch: Cabot China & Emerging Markets Report has “Disciplined and Judicious Approach”

June 25, 2009—Peter Brimelow, of MarketWatch, featured Cabot China & Emerging Markets Report in his column on Wednesday, touting the Report’s excellent track record.

Cabot China & Emerging Markets Report is up 15.5% year-to-date through May versus a 4.1% gain for the dividend-reinvested Wilshire 5000 Total Stock Market Index. Brimelow also cited that over the past five years, the Report has achieved a remarkable 25.03% annualized gain, as opposed to a negative 1.26% annualized for the total return Wilshire 5000.

Brimelow also noted that while the Report’s Editor Paul Goodwin is urging some caution due to the market’s correction, he has a “disciplined and judicious approach.” This led Brimelow to name the Report Letter of the Year in 2007.

In a special hotline issued Tuesday after the market’s close, Goodwin said, “We’re still optimistic that the market will find its feet before it triggers a new sell signal.”
