Tim Lutts to AOL Finance: Stocks are Better Choice than Bonds

When asked by AOL Finance if he thinks it’s time to switch from bonds to stocks, Cabot’s Timothy Lutts replied that he recommends stocks over bonds, but advises investors to wait until the stock market gets through its current volatility. “Wait 30 days, and then buy,” he said in the December 15, 2010 article.

As for high-dividend stocks versus growth stocks, Tim favors growth, saying high-dividend stocks are simply a bad choice now because investors are attracted to better-performing growth stocks and are dumping high-yield equities, causing their prices to go down.

Among his top growth stocks, he suggests Google (GOOG), Chinese search engine Baidu (BIDU) and Riverbed Technology (RVBD). Tim is Cabot’s Chief Investment Strategist and Editor of Cabot Stock of the Month.
